AN INTRODUCTION TO GUT HEALTH WORKSHOP

Tuesday 16th March, 8:00-9:30pm via ZOOM

Did you know that your gut plays a major role in your immune system?  And did you know that a lot of your ‘happy hormones’ are produced in the gut?

We’ll be covering the following:

  • what is your gut microbiome and why is it important?
  • what influences your gut bacteria?
  • prebiotics and probiotics
  • how it affects our hormones
  • how can we make positive changes to our microbiome

You’ll leave with an action plan with steps on improving your gut health that you can start straight away and there will be time for questions.  If there is something specific you’d like me to cover, please don’t hesitate in letting me know and I’ll make sure I include it.

This Michael King programme combines Ballet and Pilates to provide a low impact workout suitable for all.  While working on alignment, posture, conditioning and stretch it will give you beautiful lean, sculpted muscles with low injury risk. 

The class incorporates both standing work and floorwork and you can use a household chair as a Barre prop.  No shoes are required, and socks are optional depending on what type of floor you are working on.  


As women, following a weights workout will develop stronger bones and increase your metabolism.  That’s the main focus in this class as well as working up a sweat and toning the body.

This class runs as part of the Better Body Balance women’s health programme, but you don’t have to join the programme to take part or take part to join the programme. 

Please have some weights to join this session; a pair of dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands etc are all fine.  


This class incorporates the foam roller, prickle massage balls and Pilates ball into basic Pilates exercises to aid fascial release. Fascia is the connective tissue in the body that can tighten through overuse, under-use or improper use. This class helps to re-balance and re-align the body. If you live with daily pain like sciatica or upper back/neck pain, chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia or injuries this call can be a huge relief to your body.

To take part in this class you need a pair of massage balls or tennis balls. If you have a 90cm long foam roller you will benefit more and really get a feel for the class but it’s not essential and can be substituted with a rolled-up towel. A Pilates ball can be substituted with a folded pillow. For advice on purchasing equipment please contact me.  


The class uses Ballet-based moves and pumping tunes to give you an amazing legs, butt & abs workout. A combination between standing and floorwork will leave you feeling energised and worked.

Please have a high-back chair to use or something you can balance on. No shoes required and socks are optional depending on what type of flooring you are working on. 


This class gives your lower body the ultimate workout.  Suitable for all fitness levels, we use various types of exercises to give you a varied workout.  We do standing work and floor-work and you’ll leave feeling tight, taught and ready for the weekend.

No equipment necessary but the odd week we may use some.  Options for those without will also be available.  


This low impact class incorporates classical Ballet exercises with Triggerpoint Pilates to improve posture, balance, flexibility, muscular control and helps lengthen and release the body.  No previous Ballet experience is required.

Our bodies need to restore itself after all we do to it and this the perfect class to do so.  With a different focus each week we will concentrate on movement and breathing for better sleep, hormone balance, posture, pelvic floor & core function, full body release and stress release.  This classes uses many concepts together such as Triggerpoint Pilates, Fitness Pilates, Fitness Yoga and BrainFit to leave you feeling calm but energised and restored.
